- I taught Botany at elementary level in Srinibas College, Mangalpur,Soro, Balasore from 1998-2006.
- I taught Botany at U.G. Level both Honours and Pass course and Environmental Studies at U.G. Level in Pass course in Upendra Nath College, Soro, Balasore from 2006-2008.
- I am appointed as Academic counselor in Life science to teach B.Sc life science (LSE)/ CES students by IGNOU, Govt. of India since last 10 years.
Teaching Experiences
Brief History:
- Born on 4th December, 1974 completed MSc Botany with specialization Plant Physiology & Biochemistry, MPhil. Botany having Specialization Cytogenetics from Utkal University, Vanivihar, Odisha. Qualified CSIR NET life Science in 2008, UGC NET in Environmental Science in 2014 & ARS NET in 2017. He obtained Ph.D. degree in Botany from Utkal University 2018. He had completed CES & PGDDM course from IGNOU and PGDCA from NIIT. He has 18 years of teaching experience in Botany & Environmental Science in U.G. level. He has appointed as Academic Counselor in Life Science Courses by IGNOU for the last 10 years. Now he is working in the Department of Botany, Regional Institute of Education (NCERT), Bhubaneswar.
- Dr. Das had published about 40 Numbers of research paper in reputed National & International Journals. He had written 5 book chapters as a first author in the books published by Springer, Elsevier, Akinik Publication, New Delhi. He has written one book “Poisonous plants of Bhubaneswar”. He had participated in more than 70 numbers of National / International Conference & Seminar.
- Dr. Das has written over more than 50 popular articles in English in different Magazines and news paper. He has been associated with various PAC PROGRAMME / NCERT/ as Resource person. He is active member of OBS, ISCA, OBA, BARC, OES, NESA etc.
- Dr. Das was felicitated by Eminent Scientist Prof. M.S. Swaminathan, father of Green revolution of India as Young Scientist Award in February, 2016. He has been awarded as Best Faculty award by VDGOOD organization 2019 and Youth Red Cross from Ex. Honorable Governor of Odisha Y. Satyanarayan Reddy. He was felicitated as Fellow (FSIESRP) by The Society of Innovative Educationalist & Scientific Research Professional in 2020.
- His area of interest is Plant physiology & Biochemistry, Forest Ecology, Biodiversity & Sustainable development, Ethno-botany and Taxonomy. Dr. Das is now working on Vegetation Analysis/ Floristic Diversity/ Medicinal Plants / Ethno Botany in BBSR city with reference to Urban Biodiversity.
